Rickie Fowler on a Putt-Putt Course

Professional Golfer Rickie Fowler for Rocket Mortgage

Rocket wanted to leverage their sports partnership with PGA Golfer Rickie Fowler within their Rocket Can brand campaign, so we leaned into the competitive edge Rocket gives a homebuyer. We pitched and sold two unique TV spots with support social-first assets for a one-day shoot in Florida (here comes the rain) in the year 2020 (here comes COVID protocols). Sometimes the biggest challenge you need to solve for isn’t in the brief at all. It pops up on the day of the shoot.

Play Through :30

Lucky for us, Rickie’s pretty good at this whole golf thing. The greatest efficiency we found was how quickly we could work through the shot list. Rickie hit his shots and the cast nailed their performances. The director and crew upped their sense of urgency without ever making the work or performances feel rushed. The entire team came together to make those four hours count, and we captured everything we set out to.

Play Through :15

We had eight hours with Rickie Fowler on the day of the shoot and it was a loaded schedule – TV :30 & :15, plus social-first video content. To adhere to COVID protocols, the cast was bubbled and socially distanced (note Rickie and his wife, Allison Stokke six+ feet away from our father and son) at all times and shot on our open air putt-putt course constructed in a golf course parking lot. So of COURSE thunderstorms started rolling through for most of the day. Those eight hours with Rickie quickly became four, so the team jumped to it and started finding solutions (aka, hauled ass).
